SwanWaters.com was built by a group of Swans who had found healing through their companionship. They wanted to give other swans a place where they could experience that same sense of belonging and healing. If you too would like to support other swans, there are a few ways you can give back that will allow Swanwaters to help more Ugly Ducklings to become the beautiful Swans they so richly deserve to be.
Making a Donation
Any money we receive is solely for the improvement of our services.
The changes we’re experiencing in our lives and attitudes have been profound. We wanted to offer a place where others can also move beyond their pain. This website connects people who deal with troubled relationships, to provide each other with care and support, validation and love. The realizations and coping skills to heal from many types of abuse are similar.
The site is not intended for profit, but rather to be self-sustaining and for that reason is currently subscription based until additional funding can be obtained. We are in the process of obtaining tax exemption under IRS code section 501(c)(3).
We hope you’ll join us in helping others find their way to healing. If you find the site speaks to you on a personal level and you’d like to make a donation, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We have set a current goal of $20,000 this year for operational expenses and we’re tracking our progress to the right. Contact us if you’d like to contribute in a different manner or if you have any questions.
Donations helps us keep this website up and running in these ways:
We can provide sponsored memberships to those who cannot afford to join.
Work on new initiatives to reach out more effectively so that even more Ugly Ducklings find the Swan Lake.
Faster development of new and helpful content.
Pay for the technology and people keeping this site up and running 24/7.
Volunteering on the Website
Running the website, giving people feedback, writing new content… keeping SwanWaters.com a vibrant website and maintaining a safe environment is quite a bit of work.
In order to do this Swan Sisters relies on the help of volunteers. Depending on your interests, talents and experience we can talk about a suitable task and look at the time you are willing and able to invest. For more information please contact our operations manager Mags Thomson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
“The bottom line from all the research on charitable giving is that it is not just good for your favorite cause; it’s good for you, too. For relief from stress and depression, it’s probably more cost-effective than whatever your doctor might prescribe. For getting a little high, it’s not illegal, and a lot less fattening than booze.”
